Our History
Inspired by European style and know-how, Saxon Leather is the creation of Michal Hirsch. After emigrating from Europe after the Second World War, and receiving his early training in design and pattern making, Mr. Hirsch is a self-taught master of design and creation in Leather and Wool apparel.
As the original maker of the Hudson Bay Traditional Blanket Collection, and clothing the Royal Family and many dignitaries world-wide has made Saxon and all its affiliated companies a world leader in quality design and manufacturing of outerwear.
With over 65 years of experience in the industry, a new generation continues to bring quality, experience, and the finest Leather and Wool / Leather Collection in the industry.

Saxon Leather is the leader in Leather, Wool / Leather Jackets, and fine corporate apparel in North America. Proudly Canadian, we at Saxon strive to use the finest Leathers, Wools, and Fabrics available along with over 65 years experience to create quality outerwear. At Saxon, the quality and the customer are our primary concern when constructing any of our garments.
Leathers
We use only the finest Drum-Dyed Lambskins and Cowhides along with Pig Suedes and all other Nappa leathers. We offer the largest selection of colours of skins in the industry, therefore enabling us to match or dye virtually any corporate colour.
Custom
Along with our in-stock jackets we can create apparel to meet any of your design requirements. From embroidery, to embossing, to debossing, and leather appliqué; all these and other decorations are done on individual panels. This is the Saxon difference as most apparel is decorated right through the lining. We also do panel programs and can send our panels to any decorator world-wide if they wish to do their own decoration and send it back to Saxon for full assembly.
Artwork
We prefer to receive artwork via e-mail in .JPG, .EPS, or D.S.T. Tajima format embroidery files in PC (Mac art also supported). If you wish, our art department can create artwork and art boards for you. E-mail your artwork to us and we will respond promptly with ideas to customize your artwork.
Delivery
Delivery is a key issue in this time sensitive industry. We will put our delivery against anyone for creations and for our in-stock blank outerwear that can be shipped overnight at a moments notice using UPS, FedEx, Purolator, DHL or any bonded carrier available. NAFTA friendly goods are shipped without duty or taxes in the North American Free Trade Zone.
